Doctor Richard Alabaster was a brilliant man; one of the greatest psychologist of the 21st century and was popular in the world. Of course, he had the strangest interest, something that set him apart from other psychologists. He was interested in how the criminal mind worked; what brought people to become criminals, what their mindset was upon committing these crimes. And fortunately for Doctor Alabaster, he had the needed supplies to start one of the greatest experiments of all time.
Project Solemnitas.
The Doctor owned an isolated island out near the Bermuda Triangle where he lived with his wife and two daughters. He decided that with the money he earned from his research and projects to build a city -- one that could house thousands of people and one that could populate the whole island. Once construction of the city was finished, Alabaster had the construction crew and all associated with them killed.
No one was supposed to know about Project Solemnitas.
When the city was opened, Doctor Alabaster created the alibi of a crime city, where those who have committed the deadliest of sins and the deadliest of criminal deeds would be sent instead of going to prison. The crazy, the insane, the unstable; they all came to Solemnitas City for Doctor Alabaster's project; the criminals sent to the island were just pawns to a game of chess.
Just. Pawns.
