His ambiguous appearance seems to confuse people, so this has always been an accepted nickname. AGE, He's only twenty, but often seems younger. GENDER, Though very androgynous, he is male. SEXUALITY, He seems asexual, but has had homosexual encounters he does not reject from his memories. Girls unnerve him. AFFILIATION, The Miaou. He may not look like much or act like much, but this is why the gang took interest in him. They are the masters of deception and Luci, misleading as he is, fits quite well into their ranks. Though he feels it's his duty now to do whatever he's told, he secretly wishes he was unaffiliated and tries not to get mixed up in too much conflict if he can help it. REASON, Lucian has always had issues with his mental stability. As a child, he was skittish and paranoid, perhaps even bordering on OCD with various rituals he would insist on commencing with even when advized otherwise by his parents. His older sister, Silvana, was often the most strict with him, however. They were the children of a Mafia leader, after all, and were expected to be an average pair of children in which their father would occasionally exploit for the show of his "family man" qualities. Unfortunately, Luci was not as good at repressing his neurotic habits as Silvana approved of. Constantly, she bugged and berated him, even tying him to his bed to keep him from fidgeting. In a way, the girl was a sadist. She delighted in seeing him struggle and writhe with his fears and fixations, to which she only responded by coming up with more "creative," harmful ways of trying to keep them at bay. Silvana was her father's daughter -- strong, arrogant, cruel. Luci, on the other hand, was the weakling... the imprint of his submissive mother. Due to his sister's torturing, his paranoia only developed further, making him more into an insomniac as his sanity crumbled away piece by piece. Such only caused Silvana to torment him further, determined to break him into an unquestionably agreeable element to her lifestyle. Their parents were rather unaware, even their mother, who gave Lucian the affectionate attention no one else did. Their father was too busy with the mafia and their mother was too stupid (and too busy battling her own demons). Finally, at age eleven, Lucian was able to get rid of his dominating sibling. They were left home with their mother while Father was out on a "business" trip of sorts. Mother, though, blacked out when she took too many sleeping pills. The children were young and oblivious, left to their own devices. Silvana and Luci got in an argument and, in the end, Luci snapped under the pressure of it all. He stole some matches and set their room on fire when Silvana was napping. He locked her in and played outside in the yard as the house was steadily enveloped in raging flames. He had forgotten about their mother.... but she was, in the end, saved by the firemen who arrived on the scene. Silvana, however, was not. With this "tragedy" behind him, Lucian went on to try and lead a normal life. This would never be so, of course. As time went on, he began to hear things. Whenever he slept, he had nightmares about Silvana; about her screaming and begging and burning. But her voice began to invade every minute of his day. He was to be diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Not only did Silvana's voice come to dominate every waking moment of his life, but it also made him all the more unbalanced. He was a disgrace to the family, always seen muttering to himself and them blaming "Silvana" for his spontaneous outbursts. He even struck his father when they went out to dinner once. He has violent mood-swings should "Silvana" coax them out and can lash out without warning. When caught in these moods he can be a ruthless, manic, and strong fighter, only aiming to appease the angry voice in his head. It was when he finally decided to poison his father that he was found out and sent to a mental hospital. But when his random, violent behavior put one of his psychologists in a coma, he was sent to Solemnitas. He is paranoid, unpredictable, and reclusive. But, unlike many others here, he dislikes it. Accepts it... but dislikes it. "Silvana" never leaves him alone. Her voice is constantly chattering in his head, usually exactly as he remembers it to sound like. He is usually muttering to himself, trying to quiet "her" and go about his daily routines. But even in death, his sister controls every aspect of what he does. He is completely submissive to the voice, feeling guilty for his sibling's death and hoping to make it up to her with absolute loyalty. He will even kill for "her" if need be. He has also developed odd habits. He loves sharp things, even with something of a twisted fascination, wanting always to touch sharp edges, letting himself bleed when cut. His strange fascinations don't stop there. He likes watching, touching, and nibbling fingers. He finds them interesting, for some reason, particularly the gestures and motions they make. And one of the strangest quirks of all is his dacryphilia (attraction to tears & crying). Seeing his sister cry in the window when suffocated by smoke... made him feel more alive than he ever has. He fears true solitude. "silvana" -- Just a voice inside his head, but he obeys it because he fears it. Immensely. women -- Luci has a severe case of Gynophobia. It's his sister's influence to blame for this. being burned to death -- Ever since the fire he started, he's extremely afraid of being overwhelmed by heat or being burned to death. Even the smell of smoke unnerves him. DREAMS, the goals/dreams your character has for the future. it can be "taking over the world" or just even "dying peacefully" or something. you can have as many as you want, but you must have at least two! HOBBIES, what your character does in their spare time. it can be anything like "playing cards" or "humming" you can have as many as you want, but you must have at least three! HABITS, things that can be considered as pet peeves of other people such as "sighing a lot" or "chewing on their nails" can be put here. you can have as many as you want but you must have at least two! SECRETS, Very, very secretly, Lucian does not regret killing his sister. But even thinking this causes him to feel violently ill. He is still a virgin, as probably expected. This doesn't mean he is sexually inexperienced, however. His hands and mouth are surprisingly talented. He actually enjoys wearing the long, thin robes his always has on; the ones his sister used to always try and dress him in. They're almost like those worn by the Catholic priests who visit St. Peter's in Rome. Though he usually claims, "Silvana makes me," he is now somewhat fond of how they fit. He is becomming more and more comfortable in his androgyny, much to the distaste of some fragment of pride that still clings to his psyche deep down. Luci purposefully left evidence behind after poisoning his father. He wanted to be caught. He wanted help. Still, to this day, he secretly longs for sanity... but has become so accustomed to madness that he isn't even sure what he wants anymore. He is embarrassed of his social phobias and locks himself in closets a lot. He is ashamed because he thinks this means he is a coward. He actually doesn't want to be known as a coward. He ties himself up when he is most afraid of any situation. Simple rope works best. PERSONAL ITEMS, A medical kit -- Because he doesn't trust anyone else with his "health." It even has a pair of small scissors and a pair of bigger ones. He uses the bigger ones more frequently, usually cutting up paper snowflakes to pass the time. things such as journals or special rings or accessories you're free to go into details but you may only have three! WEAPONS, the tekko-kagi -- Also known as "hand claws," the tekko-kagi are a Japanese weapon and were part of a colorful collection of weaponry owned by Lucian's crimelord father. Kept on display in their house, the tekko-kagi were admired by Luci fondly because of their sharp, curved points and with how they reminded him of their old family cat. He managed to save them in the fire, though to much guilt. Silvana's voice berates him constantly for it, but also encourages him to fight with them. Because of "her" constant scoldings, he actually wields them quite dangerously. They are used both as defenses against knife strikes and sword blows, and as a dangerous striking weapon he uses ruthlessly like real claws. Quite fitting for a Miaou gang member. Speaks Italian quite fluently, having it taught as his first language. There is no accent when he speaks in English.
