REASON, carmella had never been a problem child before, someone even close to her may rave about her sweet-nature. a bird not nearly suited to an asylum-esque cage. though, at age eighteen carmella had an incident happen that had never happened before. she was with a group of her friends, and randomly the once called 'sweet' girl suddenly became a raging homocidal and assaulted her own friends in a manic manner. unable to be controlled well, and finding that carmella was actually living alone, the police decided to send her to solemnitas to be held. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - + POSITIVE, patient thoughtful accepting forgiving understanding alter-ego confident determined independent optimistic brave - NEGATIVE, passive dependent on others pathetic selfish pessimistic alter-ego stubborn cynical careless brutal heartless ADORE, marijuana; it's strange, no one would expect carmella to be the smoking type but it's one of the thing's she absolutely has become one with. she likes the feeling of going higher then she is now and sitting around stoned, although this is usually the cause of why her alter-ego comes out. smoking; in general, she doesn't need to smoke weed, she has a taste for cigarettes, although, often people seem to be weirded out seeing such a petite and innocent-looking girl doing something like smoking. though, it's strange enough seeing her in a place like an asylum. children; not that there are many children in solemnitas, but carmella's always had a soft spot for the toddling little people. people; of course, when she says 'people' she means the normal type. the ones who are nice and crack totally non-harmful jokes. yeah, those ones. you know? the ones that don't really exist at all in solemnitas. sanctity; carmella will do her best to avoid fights and keep out of arguments since she's a pacifist. she likes places where she knows she'll be safe. she likes that feeling of security, and these locations are usually her own personal sanctuaries. CONDEMN, her alter-ego; carmella's alter ego is the exact opposite of herself, crude, loud, reckless, ruthless, carmella hates changing into her especially since she doesn't remember anything her other self does. bloodshed; it's a strange thing but carmella is a pacifist, the last thing she wants to turn to is fighting and she absolutely hates blood. it makes her skin crawl and she'll have a mini-freak out if it happens. fighting; peace before fighting in the nineteen year old's world. though, the reason for this is mainly because she is always looking to save her own skin and usually the best way to keep from getting injured in a fight is to avoid fights at all costs. narcs; tattle tales, people who get you in trouble for drugs, or just in general doing something bad. as a drug user herself, she's come to just have an accustomed dislike for these kinds of people, even if it's not even related with her smoking. labelle hiraschello; carmella's sister, 'lala', is something she's always had an extreme dislike for. carmella was turned into solemnitas a year before labelle was, and in there next meeting, well, it wasn't exactly filled with heartfelt, sisterly love. FEARS, dying; it's probably a stupid fear for someone being in a gang and fighting for her life, if it wasn't for her alter-ego kicking in now and then, carmella would probably already be dead. she doesn't want to die, and she can't help but cling to the thought of staying alive at all means. labelle hiraschello; carmella doesn't like her sister, but that doesn't mean she isn't afraid of her. ever since she was brought back to live with the hiraschello's, and living about two years with labelle, carmella gained an acute phobia of her own flesh and blood. torture; this could be one of the reasons carmella has such a fear of labelle, it's carmella's greatest fear to be tortured to death rather then have a quick painless one. she's a wuss when it comes to pain endurance, and just the thought of undergoing a slow tearful death gives the girls the shakes. DREAMS, it's always been carmella's dream to be able to escape from solemnitas and return to normalcy, to home. although, she's somewhat realized that something like this is impossible to dream of. another almost impossible dream that carmella hopes is to stay sane, however, she wonders if the fact that she's stuck in a place like this means she's already somewhat insane. well, this dream is probably more then dead by now, but carmella had always wanted to become a day-care employee. the kind that takes care of children and all that? she loves children. HOBBIES, smoke keeping to herself telling herself stories to keep calm HABITS, spontaneous sobbing; carmella has never been a strong-willed girl, she's easy to start crying or be put to tears, and she will use her overflowing tear glands to her advantage. although... usually the sobbing is real, however, that doesn't mean people believe it. what with her being in miaou. changing; it's not exactly pin-pointed at what causes her to change into her alter-ego. usually it's the randomest things, but often it's a time when carmella's mentality is unstable, and being the sensitive girl she is, that's often. SECRETS, carmella doesn't want anyone to know she's related to labelle, it's not that big of a deal, but she feels that she might be targeted, or even treated differently, like she'd be expected to do more what with her sister being an ex-serial killer. carmella thus takes on her previous last name, 'fuyumine' when telling people her name. the nineteen year old tries not to mention it, but she had a miscarriage at the age of seventeen because of a small fight she'd gotten into because of her alter-ego. ever since then she's hated her alter-ego with a burning passion, and as well as the fact that she lost her boyfriend because of this. PERSONAL ITEMS, cigarette pack stash of marijuana small security blanket she usually wears around her waist WEAPONS, parro; parro is a double sided switch-blade that's length goes up to about a half a meter. it attaches to her arm and the blades stretch vertical so she can slash at people. it was an unused weapon that labelle had left behind for carmella, although, the black-haired girl never uses it. it's only there for absolute emergency and when her alter-ego happens to come out for some playtime. cyanide tablets; in the form of small white tablets that can easily be eaten, they are very poisonous, but it's really only there for carmella to eat herself in case she gets captured or wants a painless escape when there's no other way out. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NATIONALITY, carmella is half-french, half-japanese. FAMILY, haruka hiraschello; the mother of the two, she was a prostitute and helped raise labelle until carmella, she is currently deceased and died a month or two after carmella came to live with them. eric hiraschello; american-born french businessman, he studied abroad in japan and met haruka there, it was an awkward meeting and the whole relationship was questionable but he whisked haruka away to france, he is deceased as well. labelle hiraschello; carmella's sister, they were separated at birth, but in the short time that the girl did live with her sibling, carmella soon learned to stay clear of the brunette. HISTORY, carmella's mother and father were happily married in what seemed to be a strange and overall eccentric coupling. a prostitute who decided to give up her job for playing housewife for a strange frenchman who she barely knew. eventually, the two had a sloppy divorce when haruka was found cheating, unable to keep her sexual desires to herself. eric was always away, but it still hit him hard. at this point labelle was one and carmella was two, in the end eric took carmella away with him to tokyo, japan on another business errand while haruka and labelle stayed in paris where the family had set up for awhile. labelle and haruka later moved into an apartment, and haruka took up her old job again, finding customers easily in the dirty streetcorners. however, carmella was dropped into a life of mediocracy, everything was normal as could be for the girl despite a dad who was rarely around. though, at age eight carmella's dad was caught in a car crash, and finding she didn't have much to mourn for the dad she never really knew, carmella was shipped back to paris to live with her only other living relative. her mother and sister. meeting labelle was definitely one of the strangest things in carmella's life, the other girl was quirky and liked to talk, she was full of life and was almost overwhelming. once again living with another parental who was rarely around, carmella began to adjust a bit to the lifestyle in the hiraschello house. though, by the time that carmella was thirteen and labelle was twelve, the girl began to realize something. labelle was so much better then carmella, she was bubblier, happier, got better grades, and well-liked while carmella was just a sack of insecurites and fright. even being the elder sibling, she couldn't keep up with her little sis. around this time, however, labelle began to turn nasty. she would constantly order carmella around, and notice that her sibling resembled a monster rather then a human being. saying such crude, horrible things with a smiling face, being threatened constantly and hearing mad rambles late at night. it was no wonder that carmella avoided her home, and instead found solace in a teenage boy named hiroshi takana. she was fourteen, he was sixteen. the boy introduced carmella to her first cigarette, and after a coughing fit, she slowly was able to handle the intake of smoke. whenever he came over he taught her thing's, showed her new ways to utilize marijuana and other drugs, brought her out more, introduced her to his friends. despite this being a shady setting, carmella remained somewhat naive and came-off as an innocent face in an overall rebellious crowd. she was easily shaken, scared, shy, quiet, but she could really handle her smokes. even when she was fifteen she didn't know she was in what could be called a 'gang'. the fights were naturally handled without her, and carmella adjusted to her new life with these new people. avoiding both her mother and sister's crazy notions, carmella was disgusted when she walked in on labelle's dissection of what seemed to be her 'boyfriend'. carmella instantly puked all over the floor and called labelle a 'freak', when she was asked if she wanted to help with the 'activity' as labelle called it. labelle gave her sister such a look that carmella ran away from their ratty apartment, and stayed over at a friends. for a week carmella refused to return home, and when she did she found a note stuck to the fridge, a pink sticky note. it read 'mom's dead, the police probably won't find the source of our cozy home. you can live in peace. love lala the ripper.' . carmella wasn't sure what to think of this note, knowing her sister had now run away what with the disappearance of her odd gizmo's and no trace of her around as well as the death of her only other parent. the first thing the fifteen year old did was lean back and take a smoke in her now single apartment. realizing that she was perfectly fine, and almost relieved with the current events. however, her relief in the situation was what left a small pit in the middle of the girl's stomach. she ended up fleeing to hiroshi's house, who could have been considered her first and only boyfriend. she lived with him and continued on with her daily life, which hadn't really included labelle or her mother in the first place. at seventeen she was impregnated with hiroshi's child, the two decided to have it together. though, at eighteen carmella was particularly wasted. she had just gotten a package which was addressed from 'labelle the ripper', being hit by another emotional wave, feeling that pit in her stomach, the girl went out of wack and her alter-ego was released in one fell swoop. using the weapon inside the package, carmella went on a frenzy, injuring some of her closest friends. one boy in particular managed to send a kick to her stomach, and after the whole thing was over and she was apprehended by the police, carmella found out that not only was she going to be sent off far away, she had lost her baby as well.
