odile's one of those dangerous people who seem perfectly harmless but turn on you when you least expect it. she typically maintains a flawless facade of sweetness, perfected over years of lying to just about everyone. saying that she manipulates people when it suits her is an understatement. at first glance, odile seems like the perfect prey; gentle, harmless, seemingly asking to be broken—but you know what? in truth, she's already broken. she snapped years and years ago, and now, she's far from harmless. the teal-haired girl tortures and kills compulsively in a decidedly psychopathic manner, and she collects strands of hair or even entire heads from her prettier victims. a wolf in sheep's clothing? definitely.

odile has a number of friends, "friends," and acquaintances. on that note, she's well-acquainted with betrayal. in essence, she suspects everyone and rarely lets her guard down, making it near-impossible for someone to become genuine friends with her. as such, even though a number of other people may consider her their friend, she'll secretly regard them as trash or pawns. in addition to faux-friends, odile could have a number of acquaintances who talk to her occasionally but don't know her very well; she's charming enough at first glance. i'll take maybe one or two people tops as close, genuine friends for odile. she needs people to rely on to prevent herself from going entirely insane. her sister, odette, was her closest confidant and the steady lifeline she clung to in the past, but now, she's dead. to be honest, odile needs someone close for support. she'd be affectionate and genuinely caring towards them, but beware; she can't control her compulsive desire to kill. while she'd readily maim you if you were an acquaintance or enemy, she's actually also likely to if you're a close friend. friendship can be a double-edged sword, after all.

ohohoho, enemies. 8D it's safe to say that odile can have a ton of these. she's a sadistic psychopath and serial killer; heck, she could have killed one of your relatives or friends at some point. plenty of people will hate on her for her sweet, gentle facade, too, and envy her alleged perfection (although those who know her well would realize that odile is far from perfect). it's also perfectly acceptable if people despise her simply because of her gang affiliation. given that odile betrays people easily, maybe she used you at some point and then turned on you. anything goes. enemies are interesting. odile might be a charming, easily liked person, at the same time, she's easily disliked for any number of reasons. let's get wild. 8D

the thing about odile is that she's...paranoid. actually, that's quite an understatement. her past experiences have led her to shy away from the concept of love entirely. when she tortures people, none of it ever includes rape or sexual harassment; she's personally too scarred by the point she was forced to watch her own sister get gang-raped and the point that she herself almost met the same fate. she may touch people freely of her own volition, but most of the time, it's because of her counterphobic tendencies. she may play the part of a seductive lady at times, leaning in and touching people, but in truth, if she does that, it often means she doesn't actually like you. the kind of contact she initiates depends on the person; the more romantic, the more likely she inwardly hates you. if she merely plays with your hair or hugs you, it's more likely she actually regards you with some form of respect. in any case, actual relationships are iffy. odile shies away from flings and sexual encounters. you can try getting her to open up, but chances are you'll end up dead before you manage to so much as hug her. conversely, if you do manage to worm your way into her heart, be careful; even her love might not save you from her compulsive killing tendencies.

Ohoho, hello again. <:

So I liked the ideas we had sort of mulled over with the last FoA and Vic's mindset here will probably be along the same lines. He'd find Odile a very amusing, very interesting element to the gang... and he'd also take note of her actions further if Arlynn seemed fond of her at all. He's always plotting, scheming, conspiring and, to him, Odile would just be another animal he'd be interested in dissecting; another puzzle for him to solve. He's good at reading people, so I'm sure it wouldn't take him long to pick up on her own sadistic tendencies. Birds of a feather flock together, after all. But he'd be most interested in trying to find out what unnerves her. He's a man who always likes to have elements to his advantage so he can use and exploit them should it fit to his tastes. So I'm sure he'd be eying her closely from time to time. Also, she's quite pretty (Mikuuuu <3) and he'd probably creep on her. Discreetly at first, but he'd delight in getting as close as possible all for the sake of gauging a reaction or even trying to get a little taste due to his cannibalistic habits and sensory desires. She's certainly a force to be reckoned with, but Vic does not regard boundaries. He does whatever the fuck he wants and he gets a kick out of whatever consequence there may attempt to be. I think it's safe to say he'd have his eyes on her. More like a cat eyes a mouse, though. He considers himself a busy man and someone so very above playing with lackluster toys. But I have a feeling she'd be someone he'd watch closely nonetheless.

And, as usual, my ideas are dry, dry, dry. ): I'm sorry, Unit. I'll try and brainstorm further and if any ideas pop in mind, I shall bombard you with them. ♥

haha, while victor would find odile an interesting element to the holics, i think odile would also be morbidly fascinated by him in a sense. most of the time, she'd probably be unnerved by his actions but make an attempt to hide her underlying ease, though victor would probably pick up on it anyway. in essence, vic will have a ton to work with when it comes to finding ways to unnerve her. he seems to manifest some of the things she fears, at any rate. odile isn't the type to lose her wits or cool easily though, so it might be a bit of a challenge for him to try actually breaking down her defenses. i can see odile picking up on his sadistic tendencies as well and reluctantly respecting him for his strange, twisted genius. xD overall, i guess they'd have a tentative, wary, cat-and-mouse relationship, as you mentioned. after odile picks up on vic's scarier tendencies (like the creeperness and cannibalism), she'll come to regard him as a dangerous person—perhaps a potential enemy. for some reason, i can envision their relationship being a test of predator vs predator, with both of them trying to one-up the other by proving to be the more dangerous one—the bigger predator, so to speak. or something. DD; my brain has been horribly lacking in ideas recently, 'm sorry. DDDX

Actually, this all looks awesome to me. It's definitely something I can see being that wary "cat-and-mouse" sort of relationship where they are constantly analyzing one another and trying to best the other in their area of expertise; torture, sadistic acts, etc. It's almost like a subtle fight for "dominance," in a way, seeing as they'd always be eager to one-up the other. Because Vic loves challenges and actually gets irritated whenever he attains anything too easily. No thrill in the hunt that way. But he'd certainly do what he could to try and weasel his way under her skin in the hopes of chipping a few cracks in her hard resolve. Again, he's a man who thrives off the rush of the hunt, not necessarily the carcass left behind in the end. Indeed, I do think, deep down, there would be a reluctant respect for Odile for being such a cool-headed mastermind, but that's all the more motivation for him to try and break her down.

All in all, I see this as being much fun indeed. <: My brain's still a big lacking in mind-blowing ideas, but I still like the concept of what we have so far. It'll be interesting to see what comes of it, oh yes.

Ahaha, but I just can't not plot with you Unit. ;w; Odile is such an awesome character and arghhh the HOLiCs are nothing without the good ol' Luka and Miku pair. - That is, if you're willing to perhaps carry some of our old plottage from the old FOA to this new one here?

If you'd like to, that's awesome and oh my god, just so much love for you. If you'd rather go for something new then that, too, is alright with me. Really, I'm all up for anything so.

Anyway, if we're going for something new... I've thought up of this new thing for Arlynn, you see, so I'm putting it to action. Basically, Arlynn is... A lot more dedicated to saving her sister (Cecile) than killing her, because here she's really caring for Cecile, but due to circumstances she acts as if she hates her sister with allllll of her heart so it makes for a believable unsteady relationship. Since Odile is one of those observant types, perhaps she could catch on onto Arlynn's hidden motif somehow, and get herself involved by either intervening with Arlynn's plans or even going with them? I don't know, this could go a lot of ways, slightly depending on whether or not we give them the relationship we planned for Arlynn and Odile to have over at the other place~ Again, we don't have to if you don't want to, and I'm all up for new plots and stuff!

yeah, definitely. in a sense, this constant game of cat and mouse could be like their own version of rivalry—so, in some weird, twisted sense, they'd be rivals. perhaps "friendly" ones; they could maintain a certain level courtesy between each other but ultimately regard one another as potential threats. when it comes to challenges, odile isn't biased against or towards them because her killing streaks usually result from compulsiveness. as such, she doesn't particularly care for challenges, but being that victor is a worthy rival, someone on her own level and perhaps capable of outmaneuvering her as well, odile would probably get a thrill from competing against him, although she'd often feel threatened by his very presence. grudging mutual respect sounds good, too. C8

C: the good mikulukaness didn't get to play out completely at the old foa, so i figure we ought to get a move on so it can happen here instead. 8DD carrying over what we planned there sounds fine. odile is pretty much a recycled version of odette with some slight alterations, anyhow. xD so yeah, what we planned sounds good. tentative inner circle friends with a reluctant inclination towards undeniable attraction, ohyes. <3

hmm, we could probably combine this idea with what we have so far. in this foa, odile has a sister as well: her older, deceased sister, odette, for whom she cared a lot. odette was odile's best friend, sibling, and partner in crime, all wrapped up in one. as such, odile is no stranger to familial ties—if anything, she'd actually understand arlynn's desire to protect cecile. yep, i can see odile piecing together arlynn's hidden motive to protect cecile, and that would earn arlynn more respect from odile because it hits so close to home. she herself failed to protect her sister when she needed to the most, so odile would probably find some way into arlynn's plans and help out. she may be a serial killer, but a lot of her ruthlessness stems from impulse and compulsiveness. as such, odile isn't completely heartless.

so, in summary, we could let them maintain an inner circle friends kind of relationship. eventually, odile could find out about arlynn's secret plans to actually protect cecile instead of killing her. consequently, she'd respect arlynn more and become an accomplice of sorts to help her out. and throughout this, i can see undeniable, albeit reluctant attraction sprouting up and bringing them closer bwahaha.
